No, there will be several validated challenges to start from, you will have the chance to discuss them and brainstorm with all the other participants during the first weeks of the program.

I'm technical, and I don’t have any business experience in starting a company, can I still apply?
Yes, of course. We value different backgrounds and we will encourage participants to form balanced teams with all the skills needed.
Do I have to relocate to Turin if I’m selected to participate?
Can I do the program part-time?
Will I be able to choose my own co-founders?
Yes, you will spend a lot of time meeting and getting to know the other participants in order to find your perfect match. The Vento Team will support you throughout the process and push you to keep in mind what are the soft and hard skills you need in your team.
Will I be able to choose on which challenge I will be working?
Yes, you will be able to choose your challenge.
Who owns the IP of what is developed?
Do you offer office space?
Yes, you will be hosted in the offices of OGR Tech.
Are you going to pay participants for their time? How much?
Yes, we are going to pay you for the first three months of the program, in particular, you will receive a grant of about €1.200/month. More details will be provided upon acceptance into the program.
What type of support can I expect from Vento?
We will guide you in each and every phase of the program, from deepening the challenge to the ideation of the best solution and the testing and implementation. We will provide you with mentoring and workshops, frameworks, and tools that will help you throughout the journey. After three months we will consider a pre-seed investment in your idea. Moreover, we will introduce you to our network of investors and we will be happy to keep on helping you as much as we can even after the program ends.
Do you invest in the startups created in Vento?
We consider a pre-seed investment of €80.000 for a fully diluted 10% equity stake in each team after three months from the beginning of the program.
What will the challenges be about?
The challenges will be about exploring new trends or creating new markets in several industries and fields.
Can I apply if I do not have a degree?

What kind of startups do you invest in?
We are sector agnostic, so we invest in startups from any industry, as long as they're early stage and with at least one Italian founder in the team.
Do we have to be based in Italy?
No, startups can be based anywhere in the world, but they must have at least one Italian founder.

What can I expect to happen during the calls?
During the first and second calls with Vento Investments, you will be asked to provide an overview of your startup, introduce your team, and share information about your unit economics and fundraising round. The purpose of these calls is to get to know you and your startup better and to ask any additional questions that may arise after reviewing your pitch deck and LinkedIn profile.
Who should apply?
Startups that have a strong team, operate in a large market, have a strategy for monetization, and any form of validation, are encouraged to apply.
What kind of startups do you invest in?
We are sector agnostic, so we invest in startups from any industry, as long as they're early stage and with at least one Italian founder in the team.
